Chikoo Fruits

Chikoo Fruit is rich in fibre, phosphorus, digestible sugar, protein, iron and calcium. A milky substance extracted from the chikoo stem. Bubble gums are made up of chikoo gum. In Tamil Nadu Chikoo Fruit is called as "Sapota pazham". Sapota powder is used for making ice cream, biscuits. Mostly it is used for milk shake. It looks like potato, but it is soft. Skin for Chikoo Fruit is brown in color and grainy flesh. It available in 4 to 8 diamete. The chickoo tree grows well in a sunny and warm climate sans frost.
